Tracing layout
The figure to the left is a tracing template that can be used when creating a tracing of your own foot.
Sizing process
Step #1
Using a regular #2 pencil, trace an outline of both feet (in relaxed sitting position). Keep pencil in upright or vertical position, snug against foot.
Step #2
Measure tip of toe to center of heel (the longest part of the tracing) in inches. Locate that measurement on conversion chart. That will give you the length of the boot.
Step #2
Measure circumference of the ball of the foot in inches and locate that measurement according to the length of boot size. Follow the column up and that will tell you the width.
Example
If this foot tracing measured 9 1/8" in length with a ball measurement of 8 3/8", the size for a woman would be 5 1/2 B and a men's size would be a 4 1/2 B.
Conversion chart
Length of the foot measured heel to toe in inches correlates to the proper boot size, depending on whether you are female or male, down the same row.
For example, if you are a female measuring 8 inches heel to toe, your boot size will be 2.
The circumference measured in inches of the widest part of the foot correlates to the letter(s) in that same column.
The foot size dictates the row in which to find the circumference of the widest part of your foot.
For example, if your foot is 8 inches heel to toe, as a female your boot size will be 2, as a male your boot size will be 1. If you have measured a 7 1/2 inch circumference of the widest part of your foot, then your width letter is B
